New England Stone Wall & Field

It was one of those perfect late summer New England days and I found this wonderful field and stone wall. The light was perfect and the clouds were dramatic and dreamy.

Martha-Mary Chapel, Sudbury, Massachusetts

The Martha-Mary Chapel is an historic chapel in Sudbury, Massachusetts. It has been the backdrop of hollywood films and is a popular tourist destination. The chapel was built in 1940. The sky and clouds were prefect when we visited and created a nice backdrop for a dramatic photo.
A Mac Web Developer's Perspective: Replacing FireFox With Google Chrome (or no more bloat)

If you are a web developer, like me you have probably grown to rely on FireFox as a web development tool. Whether you develop with Drupal, Joomla, CSS / HTML, PHP or some other CMS platform or language, it's surely a staple of your web dev toolbox. Lately, it seems that FireFox 3.6.x for Mac has been running very slow and has become quite bloated. I often get the infamous spinning wheel after the browser has been running for more than a day.
From Joomla to Drupal: One Year Later, a Switcher’s Tale (part two)
In the first part of this series, I covered what my experience has been so far during the past year that I have switched from being primarily a Joomla developer to a Drupal developer. In summary, the experience has been extremely positive and enlightening. In fact there seems to be no end to Drupal and what can be done with it. With Drupal I feel like I am building a true web application, not just a web site which Joomla does.
From Joomla to Drupal: One Year Later, a Switcher’s Tale (part one)

This is part one in a series where I discuss switching from Joomla to Drupal, my experiences after almost one year of intense Drupal development. For those who don't know, Joomla and Drupal are both open source content management systems. Joomla has its roots orginally from a system called Mambo and Drupal was created by Dries Buytaert.
Almost one year ago, I took on the task of developing my first Drupal site. Having primarily been a Joomla developer for the past 3 years, this felt like a daunting task as I have always heard that Drupal is hard to use and not user friendly.
LLoyd's Diner, Classic Americana
I just discovered this nice old diner only a few minutes from where I live. I guess that's the old adage, photograph what's in your backyard. (well not quite but close enough)

The Bridge at Oudeschans, Amsterdam, Netherlands (HDR)

One thing I love about Amsterdam is the amazing & broad spectrum of colors & textures. To capture this photo, I had to sit on a little side platform that hung out over the water. Just off to the side of this photo is the Montelbaans Tower.
Theming breadcrumb output with PHP & CSS in Drupal 6
We have been developing a Drupal 6 site where we needed more control over breadcrumb theming.
Using the PHP code below, you can get unique & identifying classes to each part of the breadcrumb. You can than use CSS to style it however you like. Add the code to your template.php file in /sites/all/themes/[your theme]. Also make sure to change "yourtheme" to the actual name of your theme. If you don't have this file you can create one. Either way make sure to clear your site cache for your custom breadcrumb classes to show up. That's all there is too it, the rest is up to you in terms of how you style with CSS.
Zeedijk, Amsterdam Netherlands
This is a canal behind Zeedijk in Amsterdam. Zeedijk is one of the oldest sections of Amsterdam in The Netherlands. It's a sight to be seen and a great time of day to visit is late afternoon.
Some refer to this area as "Little Venice" as it's one of the only places in Amsterdam where water goes up right next to house just like in Venice.
