iPad App Review: LightTrac, Shows Outdoor Photographers Sun's Elevation and Direction

iPad App Review: LightTrac, Outdoor Photographers Sun's Elevation and Direction Over Outdoor Subjects Ok, so I caved and got an iPad the other day. One of the first things I noticed, there are some stunning and amazing ipad native apps in the app store. As a photographer I am always looking for the latest and greatest as far as apps go. Before it would have been on the iPhone, now it's for the iPad.

And one of those pps is called LightTrac which can determine the sun's elevation and direction over any outdoor subject and show it to you on a map. For a photographer, this is ideal because you always want to know what the best time of day to photograph a landmark of specific location will be. LightTrac can help the photographer scout for new photo rich locations on a map ahead of time and the best times of day to shoot them.

Review: Hipstamatic for iPhone, Emulates Plastic Toy Cameras From the Past

I've been on vacation for the past week in the Netherlands. It was a perfect opportunity for me to try new methods and techniques with photography. Other than using my main camera, a Canon EOS 7D, I like to experiment with other kinds of cameras. I have never thought of the iPhone camera as anything useful, admittedly I am a megapixel and lens snob so the iPhone camera fell short for me.
