Over the course of a day as a web developer, I often need to do very quick conversions of information. I have compiled a short list of eclectic sites that come in handy for this type of thing.

Whether it's building font stacks, changing text case en mass, or converting bad Microsoft Word generated HTML, there is probably something for everyone here. These tools may seem a little old school and low-tech but they serve a purpose and are useful.
- ASCII Code - The extended ASCII table
Darn, what's the code for Ampersand again? Let me go to ASCII Code site and look it up. Sure you'll memorize some of these after a while but there are always others you need to look up!
Go there - Font Stack Builder
This is an awesome tool for configuring some global CSS text styles for a website. It's also great for checking cross platform font probabilities.
Go there - Microsoft Word 2000 HTML Mess Cleaner
Don't let the name mislead you, this works for later versions of Word generated HTML also. Drastically reduce and cleanup that badly generated and bloated Word HTML you have to deal with sometimes.
Go there - Online Text Case Changer
Convert any text to Sentence case, lower case, UPPER CASE, Title Case or tOGGLE cASE
Go there - Character Counter
Does just what it says!
